‘Peace with nature’: this was the message conveyed on the emblem of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 16), held in October 2024 in the city of Cali, Colombia, in a scenario where human actions are putting more species at risk of global extinction than ever before.
