Our events

Since its creation, Pour Le Brésil's mission has been to create spaces for debate on Brazil and its contemporary challenges.
Our events can take many forms, from roundtables to group discussions and keynote presentations.
Our actions take place both online and in person in Paris and in Brazil.

Event in Belém, Pará - Brazil

In August 2023, Pour Le Brésil's team had the opportunity to go to the Amazon region. We wanted to organize several events focused on listening demands from the Amazonian youth.

Our first stop was in Belém, where our event took place on August 7th at the headquarters of the Society for Human Rights, in the Guamá district of Belém (Pará), in partnership with the Fundo DEMA.

The conversation took place in the context of the Amazon Dialogues and the Amazon Summit in Belém. Its aim was to meet young people involved in issues such as climate justice, gender, racism and the fight against discrimination.

We presented our scholarship project and opened up a space for criticism and comments, since hearing from locals is a priority for us. We listened to several proposals, linked to the age limitation of our program but also linked to a better inclusion of minorities.

THE EVENT IN A FEW IMAGES

Event in Alter do Chão, Pará - Brazil

In August 2023, Pour Le Brésil's team had the opportunity to go to the Amazon region. We wanted to organize several events focused on listening demands from the Amazonian youth.

Pour Le Brésil's second event took place in the town of Alter-do-chão on the coast of the Tapajós River, near Santarém (Pará), in partnership with the feminist, activist and musical group the Suraras de Tapajós.

We learned about the Suraras' projects, which seek to promote climate justice at the intersection with the fight for gender equality. They work to promote women's economic empowerment (handicrafts), protests, partnerships with other associations, and art (they are the first carimbó group made up solely of women!).

We talked about our scholarship program, especially how to integrate indigenous people and how to facilitate access to English courses in the city.
