Maré Atualidades: 1st Edition

This year, PLB is pleased to launch a new publication dedicated exclusively to the analysis of current affairs, entitled Maré Atualidades. This edition features shorter texts, without compromising the analytical rigor and standard of quality that guide PLB's work. In this first edition, we present to articles:


  1. "Restaura Amazônia Program: an intiative of the Amazon Fund to regularise and restore land in the Arc of Deforestation," by Irlanna Dias Ramos; and

  2. "The Brazilian approach to exploring rare earth reserves in the current international context of restrictions on this strategic sector," by Pietro Daniel Maia and Mateus Deasperi Ieker.


Why Maré Atualidades?

The name Maré ("Tide") was chosen to represent the constant movement of news and events that shape the present. Just like the tides, current issues advance and recede, constinuously transforming the political, social, and envionmental landscape around us.
